Find Prospects Now Docs

Keywords

Use positive keywords to find Facebook group posts from buyers, negative keywords to exclude noise, and choose exact or partial matching in Find Prospects Now.

Keywords are the words and phrases people write when they need you. Find Prospects Now flags a post when it contains one of your positive keywords and none of your negative keywords. Go to Settings → Keywords.

Keywords to Monitor (positive)

Type a word or phrase in Add keyword… and click + Add. Click the trash icon to remove one.

Good keywords describe a need, not just your trade:

  • recommend a plumber, looking for a plumber, need a plumber
  • leaking, water heater, burst pipe
  • anyone know a good electrician

Keywords to Disregard (negative)

Any post containing a negative keyword is ignored, even if it matches a positive keyword. Use them to remove noise:

  • hiring, job, we are looking for staff — job offers
  • for sale, selling — marketplace posts
  • your own business name or competitors' names

Partial Match (default)Matches the keyword anywhere, inside words and phrases.Matches "paint", "painter", "painting".
Exact MatchMatches whole words only.Matches "paint" but not "painter".

Each keyword can be up to 100 characters, and the same keyword cannot be in both lists. Keywords beyond your plan's limit after a downgrade are paused, not deleted.

Tips

  • Use the phrases your customers use, not industry jargon.
  • Add common misspellings and local terms.
  • Check your New tab after a few scans: add a negative keyword for every recurring false positive.
  • Keywords are matched against the post text. To catch posts that express a need without your exact words, add AI Lead Matching (Pro).
  • Keywords apply to all your Facebook accounts.

The setup wizard suggests keywords for your profession. You can change them anytime.
