Find Prospects Now Docs

The Chrome extension

What the Find Prospects Now Chrome extension shows and does — connection status, next scan time, Run scan now, notifications, the new-lead badge and the permissions it asks for.

Clicking the Find Prospects Now icon in Chrome opens the extension page in a new tab. Almost everything is configured on the dashboard; the extension is the part that scans.

What the extension page shows

  • Your Facebook account (name and picture) and whether it is connected.
  • The Next scan time — with "· another computer" when a different computer runs your scheduled scans.
  • Run scan now / Stop scan, with live progress: Starting scan…, Scanning Facebook groups… 40%, Analyzing matches…, Scan complete.
  • Open my dashboard ↗ and Sign out.
  • A reminder: Please keep your computer awake and Chrome running for the scanning to work!

You do not need to keep this page open. Scans run in the background without opening Facebook tabs.

Badge and notifications

  • The badge on the icon shows your number of New leads (up to 99+).
  • Chrome notifications announce new leads after a scan, with a button to open them.

Both can be turned on or off in Chrome notifications.

On Facebook

When you open a matched post on Facebook, a small card lets you mark it as seen or hide its author. See Review leads.

Languages

Notifications and the Facebook card follow your language setting: English, French or Spanish.

Permissions

The extension asks only for what it needs:

Signing out and switching accounts

  • Sign out stops any running scan. Your data stays in your account.
  • If you log in to a different Facebook account in Chrome, the extension switches to it and the dashboard asks you to choose groups for it. See Multiple Facebook accounts.
