# Scheduler computer

> When the Find Prospects Now extension is installed on several computers, one of them runs your scheduled scans and another takes over automatically if it goes offline.

You can install the extension on several computers or Chrome profiles. To avoid duplicate scans, **one installation runs your scheduled scans** — the scheduler computer. Manual scans can run from any connected computer.

## Automatic handover

You do not need to choose. Find Prospects Now assigns the scheduler automatically and **switches to another connected computer** when the current one stops responding for a few minutes (closed laptop, Chrome quit, Facebook logged out). The dashboard shows *Previous scanner disconnected. Switching to a connected computer…* during the handover.

The extension page shows **· another computer** next to the next scan time when a different computer is the scheduler.

## Tips

- Use a computer that stays on during your business hours as your main scanner.
- Installing the extension on a second computer is a simple backup if your main one is often asleep.
- Installations that have not been used for 30 days are removed automatically.
