# Scan schedule

> Choose how often Find Prospects Now scans your Facebook groups — every 1 to 6 hours, or only when you start a scan manually.

Go to **Settings → Scan Settings → Scan Frequency** and choose **Run a scan**:

| Option | Behavior |
| --- | --- |
| Every 1 hour | Scans about every hour. |
| **Every 2 hours** (default) | Scans about every two hours. |
| Every 3, 4, 5 or 6 hours | Scans less often. |
| **Only manual scan** | No automatic scans. Scan only when you click **Run scan now**. |

Click **Save scan settings**. The new frequency applies before the next scan.

## How the schedule behaves

- Scheduled times vary by a few minutes around the interval.
- After a **manual scan**, the next automatic scan is planned one interval after it finished — no back-to-back scans.
- If the computer was asleep or Chrome was closed at scan time, the scan runs shortly after it is back.
- The dashboard header and the extension page show the **Next scan** time.

## Choosing a frequency

- **Every 1–2 hours** for time-sensitive services where the first reply wins (emergency repairs, moving, cleaning).
- **Every 4–6 hours** for considered purchases or if you review leads once or twice a day.
- **Only manual** if you prefer to scan right before you sit down to reply.
