Find Prospects Now monitors groups your Facebook account has **already joined** — public or private. Go to **Settings → Facebook Groups to Monitor**.

## Select groups

- The list shows every group your Facebook account belongs to. Use **Search groups…** to find one.
- Tick a group to monitor it, untick to stop. The counter shows **Monitoring X/max groups**.
- The Facebook icon next to each group opens it on Facebook.

| Plan | Groups per Facebook account |
| --- | --- |
| Plus | 10 |
| Pro | 50 |
| Extra group packs | +5 per pack ([details](https://findprospectsnow.com/docs/billing/extra-group-packs)) |

When you stop monitoring a group, its New posts are marked as seen.

## Refresh your group list

Your group list is refreshed automatically about once a day while Chrome is running. Joined a new group? Click **Refresh groups**. The import runs on your computer, so Chrome must be open and connected to Facebook. Groups already imported are always kept, even if a refresh fails.

If no groups appear, you will see **Waiting for the extension to import your groups** — open Chrome, check the extension is connected, and click **Refresh groups**. If Facebook shows no groups for your account: *No groups found. Join a Facebook group, then refresh.*

## Paused groups

If you move to a plan with a lower limit, the groups you selected most recently beyond the limit are marked **Paused by your plan**. They are not deleted and come back automatically when you upgrade or add group packs.

## Choosing good groups

- Pick groups where your customers ask for recommendations: local community, neighborhood, city "recommendations", homeowners, parents, small-business and niche groups.
- Prefer active groups with recent posts.
- Start with your best 10 and swap out groups that never produce leads.

> **Note:** Need ideas? The free [Facebook Group Finder](https://findprospectsnow.com/docs/tools/facebook-group-finder) suggests public groups for your business.

## Private groups

Private groups work exactly like public ones, as long as your Facebook account is a member and can see the posts. Find Prospects Now never bypasses Facebook permissions.
